Spring Cleaning the computerr

My laptop computer started to crash once a day after an hour of being on. I started looking around for a new one. A person at one of our local stores suggested that I open the back and blow out the dust with a can of air. Carefully I followed the trail of screws, knowing that the fan blows out of the side of the laptop. The back came off easily, I found large dust balls, blew everything out, put it back together, and it works great. It hasn't crashed ever since. I do this to my desktop computers once or twice a year, it just didn't occurred to me to clean the laptop.
